The Rocky Mountain Fastpitch League (RMFL) is proud to name Kady Cosyns the RMFL’s 12U Fall Spotlight Athlete for 2021.

A member of Firecrackers Gale 12A, Cosyns dominated this fall both at the plate and in the circle. The Broomfield, CO native is a 2027 graduate and will be one to watch this summer!

Meet Kady:

Q: Tell us a little bit about you and your softball story?
A: I started playing softball when I was 5 in rec leagues and joined my first competetive team when I was 9. My older sister also played softball and that helped influence my passion for the game.  I became a starting pitcher when I was 10.  I’ve been lucky to have some amazing coaches and teammates along the way that have helped me become the player I am today.  I am very grateful to be working with coach Gale and my Firecrackers teammates.  I am excited to see what this season has to bring.

Q: What is your favorite softball memory?
A: My favorite softball memory happened a couple years ago in Cheyenne, Wyoming.  It was my team’s first tournament in months due to the country shutting down as a result of Covid.  I had been practicing at home in my garage and really felt I had progressed.  The week before the tournament my coach told me I was going to get my first opportunity to pitch in a competitive game!  I struck out 8 batters through 3.1 innings and earned a spot in my team’s pitching rotation.

Kady is a dominant pitcher for our age group. She had a stellar fall season and was a pivotal part of our teams success and earning our AFCS 2022 bid. Kady has a great personality ad is always cheering on her teammates. She is truly a great teammate and constantly encourages her teams on and off the field. The future is very bright for Kady and I am excited to see all that she achieves this year.
