The Alliance Fastpitch proudly announces Rylee Black (2029) from the Central Fastpitch League (CFL) as Player of the Month for her remarkable play in March 2024. Rylee Black, a versatile player for Oklahoma Athletics 14 Madden, excels in her primary position—pitcher. Her March stats include a .294 batting average, a .368 OBP, 3 singles, and 2 doubles.. Through 21.3 innings pitched, she had 39 strikeouts and a 2.535 ERA.

Rylee Black’s softball journey kicks off at the age of 5, fueled by an innate love for the game. Transitioning to competitive play a few years later, Rylee initially finds her place behind the plate as a catcher. However, it’s not until she steps onto the pitcher’s mound in 10U that she discovers her true passion. From that moment on, pitching becomes her sole focus, capturing her heart and defining her role on the field.

Among the myriad of moments that mark her journey, one stands out with particular brilliance: the exhilarating victory of clinching the Alliance Fastpitch 12U National Championship in 2023. The memories of that triumph continue to fuel her determination and passion for the game.

Off the field, Rylee finds inspiration in players like Jordy Bahl, drawing motivation from her skill and dedication. Beyond softball, she embraces a variety of activities, including basketball, church, swimming, and cherished moments with her teammates and friends.

Looking ahead, Rylee sets her sights high, aspiring to secure another National Championship with her Oklahoma Athletics team. She also aims to elevate her game by reaching a pitching speed of 65 mph, winning a high school state championship, and earning a Division 1 college softball scholarship. Balancing her athletic pursuits with academic excellence, she strives to maintain straight A’s and graduate in the top 10% of her class. Recognized by the Alliance Fastpitch as Player of the Month, Rylee stands as a shining example of dedication, perseverance, and athletic prowess.

What is the Alliance Fastpitch Player Recognition Program?

The Player Recognition Program was built to recognize and spotlight our individual players in each Member League. Each month, registered Alliance Fastpitch coaches can nominate a player from their age division. League Leadership will review nominations and a monthly stats report from AthletesGoLive (AGL) to determine the League’s Player of the Month.

Following the announcement of each League’s Players of the Month, the Alliance Fastpitch will recognize a National Player of the Month. To be considered for Player of the Month, your team must score League games in AGL so your stats will be included in the League’s monthly report.
