Softball Story (How did you get started?) Tell us about you-
I started playing Coach pitch softball when I was 4 years old and fell in love. I continued playing both fall and spring ball every year until I went to play travel in 10U. My 1st year because I was fast, they moved me to the left side to become a slapper! I found my home at Clutch Up and with Coach Marcus. He believed in me and helped to make to make me the athlete I am today. I have always wanted to be a shortstop because I watched my cousin, Myamie Thompson play throughout her career to Texas Tech and I loved it. My glove work coach, Journey Rojas has taught me the small things that have helped me to get better at my position every day. I truly believe that hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard and that is the reason I work daily to be the best softball player I can be. My ultimate goal is to play in college and I believe that if I keep working hard, that dream will become a reality!

Favorite Softball memory-
I have many softball memories from my 9 years of playing. One of my favorite memories though has to be from a tournament I played in my 1st year in 12U. I got a great hit that turned into a homerun and I posted it on my Instagram story. That story was reposted by Heaven Burton, a college slapper at Texas Tech who I watched play a lot and even modeled my slapping after. It was so exciting to see someone I looked up to and wanted to be like, recognize me and think I was doing big things!

Coaches Feedback-
Neveah will be a force to be reckoned with. She represents Clutch Up Softball on every level. It’s been a pleasure watching her grow into the dominant athlete she is.

What is the Alliance Fastpitch Player Recognition Program?
The Player Recognition Program was built to recognize and spotlight our individual players in each Member League. Each month, registered Alliance Fastpitch coaches can nominate a player from their age division. League Leadership will review nominations and a monthly stats report from AthletesGoLive (AGL) to determine the League’s Player of the Month.

Following the announcement of each League’s Players of the Month, the Alliance Fastpitch will recognize a National Player of the Month.

To be considered for Player of the Month, your team must score League games in AGL so your stats will be included in the League’s monthly report.
