Kiersten Jara Named PCFL Player of the Month For January

The Alliance Fastpitch proudly highlights Kiersten Jara (2026) of the Pacific Coast Fastpitch League (PCFL) as the Player of the Month for her exceptional performance with the Bay Area Batbusters-Spingola 16u in the month of January. Kiersten, a talented pitcher, showcased remarkable skills that significantly contributed to her team’s success. This month, Jara boasted an impressive .750 batting average and a remarkable .778 on-base percentage. Her contributions included 5 RBIs, featuring 5 singles and a powerful triple.

Kiersten’s softball journey commenced at the age of 5 when she decided to try the sport. Quickly falling in love with the game, she started playing competitively at the 8u level. It was during this time that she discovered her passion for pitching, a fascination that has grown with each passing year.

A defining moment in Kiersten’s softball career unfolded during her freshman year when she played Varsity and helped her team secure victory in their second high school softball tournament. Facing tough competition, she played a pivotal role in their success, creating lasting memories on the field.

When asked about her favorite player, Kiersten looks up to Jordy Bahl, drawing inspiration from the accomplished athlete.

A favorite memory for the coaches is the day Kiersten pitched 17 innings over 4 games, showcasing her skills with 15 strikeouts and only 4 earned runs.
