Regan Spillers Named PCFL Player of the Month for January

The Alliance Fastpitch proudly recognizes Regan Spillers (2027) of the Pacific Coast Fastpitch League (PCFL), naming her the Player of the Month for her outstanding performance with the Athletics Mercado Mangini Okayama in the month of January. Regan, a talented catcher, exhibited exceptional skills on the field, contributing significantly to her team’s success. This month, Spillers boasted a stellar 0.583 batting average and an impressive 0.643 on-base percentage. Her contributions included 4 singles, 2 doubles, and a powerful home run.

Regan’s softball journey began at the age of 8, exploring various sports before finding her passion on the diamond. Inspired by her dad, who coached her brother’s baseball teams, and influenced by her mom and older sisters, all of whom played through high school, Regan discovered the game’s intricacies. Softball, for her, is a source of focus and freedom, making it the best thing that has ever happened to her.

A defining moment in Regan’s softball career unfolded during the Monster Mash tournament in 2023. In a thrilling game, she delivered a game-winning walk-off hit, securing victory in the gold bracket—a memory that stands out as her favorite in her softball journey.

When asked about her favorite player, Regan admires Jocelyn Alo, drawing inspiration from the achievements and skills of the elite athlete.

Beyond the softball diamond, Regan finds joy in reading, watching movies and TV shows, and engaging in outdoor activities such as hiking. This well-rounded set of interests complements her dedication to the game and adds depth to her character.

On the field, Regan aspires to continue playing softball at the collegiate level, with a preference for a college with a strong environmental program. However, she also recognizes the importance of staying present and not getting caught up in the bigger picture, embracing a day-by-day approach to her goals.
