The Alliance Fastpitch proudly announces Jael Quintana (2028) from the Pacific Coast Fastpitch League (PCFL) as Player of the Month for her remarkable play in March 2024. Jael Quintana, a versatile player for Power Surge Walling/Baggarly, excels in multiple positions—shortstop, catcher. Her March stats include a .632 batting average, a .632 OBP, 12 singles, 3 RBIs, and 2 stolen bases.

Jael Quintana’s softball journey began at the age of 6, fueled by a passion for the game and inspired by her older sisters who played softball. Transitioning to a more competitive travel team at 10, Jael found joy in the camaraderie of her teammates and the guidance of her coach, whom she’s been with for three years. She cherishes the time spent with her sisters, working out and discussing softball, and finds fulfillment in playing multiple positions, particularly shortstop and catcher. Her love for hitting stems from her strategic approach at the plate, always aiming to keep pitchers guessing.

A cherished softball memory for Jael is winning her first tournament with her 14u team, a comeback victory that solidified her love for the sport.

Jael’s favorite player is Mellissa Roth from the University of Louisville, who inspires her to work harder and trains her to improve her skills as a catcher and slapper. Beyond softball, Jael enjoys playing the guitar and drawing.

Her current goals include getting recruited to play softball in college and exploring potential interests in interior design for her future career. The Alliance Fastpitch commends Jael Quintana on her well-deserved recognition as Player of the Month, acknowledging her outstanding contributions to the sport and her commitment to personal and athletic growth.

Described by her coach, Ginger Baggarly, as a natural leader, Jael’s unwavering dedication to her team, strong academic performance, and compassionate nature make her a standout player. Their favorite memories are not just of Jael’s on-field accomplishments but also of the insightful conversations shared on the way to and from games, highlighting her deep understanding and commitment to the sport.

What is the Alliance Fastpitch Player Recognition Program?

The Player Recognition Program was built to recognize and spotlight our individual players in each Member League. Each month, registered Alliance Fastpitch coaches can nominate a player from their age division. League Leadership will review nominations and a monthly stats report from AthletesGoLive (AGL) to determine the League’s Player of the Month.

Following the announcement of each League’s Players of the Month, the Alliance Fastpitch will recognize a National Player of the Month. To be considered for Player of the Month, your team must score League games in AGL so your stats will be included in the League’s monthly report.
