The Pacific Coast Fastpitch League (PCFL) is excited to spotlight Bailey Murray as the November Co-Senior Player of the Month. Murray is pitcher for USA Athletics Philips.

Murray had an impressive month on the mound. The 2025 went 5-0, pitching a total of 26.1 innings, walking only 3 batters and blanking 32. She finished the month of November with a 1.33 ERA and 0.95 WHP.

Tell us a bit about your softball story! How’d you get started in the sport?

I started playing softball at the age of 5 at Redondo Sunset. My love for the game began there and it has continued to grow. I moved to travel ball in 12u playing for South Bay Sabotage, then this past year South Bay Sabotage transitioned in to USA athletics.

What has been your favorite softball memory?

I have many favorite softball memories but the one that sticks out the most is Toys for Tots Christmas Classic. It was pouring rain in the finals. I struck out the last batter to win the game!

Who is your favorite softball player?

My favorite softball player is definitely Jennie Finch. I got a Jennie Finch book for Christmas one year and ever since then I have been a fan. She is very motivational. I also got to meet her a couple years ago at pgf!

What do you like to do outside of softball?

I am really involved in my church. I love the community and hanging out with everyone there.

What are some of your current goals – both on and off the field? (Softball, school, other athletics, related, etc. all welcomed!)

My biggest goal is to attend a 4 year University and pursue my dream of playing softball. I also would like to keep my academics at a high GPA.

Coach Feedback

Tell us a bit about your athlete? As a player, person, etc.

I have had the privilege of watching Bailey develop into an amazing pitcher over the last 6 years. She is fearless in the circle against any opponent. She sets high standards for herself and consistently encourages all of her teammates. Bailey has all the tools to be an elite level pitcher – great size, deceptive windup, amazing command, and a solid understanding of how to attack hitters. With those tools and her hard work she has had an outstanding fall where she had a 0.977 ERA, 144 K’s and only 23 walks in 100 innings.

Do you have a favorite memory or moment of this athlete?

I am fortunate to have able to see a lot great moments of Bailey’s, but my most recent favorite is of our final game in the Don Battles Showcase where she threw 6 shutout innings and also homered to straight away center. She was a dominate in every way that whole game!

Is there anything else you’d like to share, include, or that we should know?

Bailey is a huge country music fan that can take it to another level when her favorite artist Morgan Wallen is played, “I thought you should know…”!

What is the Alliance Fastpitch Player Recognition Program?

The Player Recognition Program was built to recognize and spotlight our individual players in each Member League. Each month, registered Alliance Fastpitch coaches can nominate a player from their age division. League Leadership will review nominations and a monthly stats report from AthletesGoLive (AGL) to determine the League’s Player of the Month.

Following the announcement of each League’s Players of the Month, the Alliance Fastpitch will recognize a National Player of the Month.

To be considered for Player of the Month, your team must score League games in AGL so your stats will be included in the League’s monthly report.
