The Rocky Mountain Fastpitch League (RMFL) is excited to spotlight Annie Schroeder as the March Junior Player of the Month. Schroeder is a pitcher and 3rd baseman on Prodigy Brown 12U.

Schroeder had a great month in the circle. The 2027 pitcher had 11 innings pitched under her belt with 14 strikeouts, an impressive .64 ERA and .91 WHIP.

“Annie is a strong team player and leader,” said her coach.” She has dealt with injury and faced adversity but always keeps a positive perspective on the future. Annie’s love for softball shines through every aspect of the game. She’s been blessed with natural athleticism but also possesses an incredibly strong work ethic. She is focused and eager to learn at every practice. Annie’s humility in her success is inspiring. We are so proud of Annie and excited to celebrate Annie’s March success as well as the many more successes to come!”

“When I was young my mom coached a high school team in Maryland,” Schroeder said. “She would always take me with her to practices and games. I saw how much she loved it and how good she was at it, and I wanted to be just like her. So, when I was about three, I would go to the park with my dad and pitch. I would pitch at my mom’s games and practices too, just whenever I had a chance. She didn’t really give me instruction until I was about eight or nine, just letting me play. Around that time, I started to really enjoy softball, and the older I got the more I loved it. So, I kept doing it, and now it’s all I want to do!”

“My favorite softball memory is when I pitched in the 10u championship game for the first time and won! I had so much fun that day and my first championship win really stuck with me. We didn’t win much so it was a huge deal. I remember going with my mom to buy me something at the stand that sold all the hoodies and hair bows. We also went to get some ice cream to celebrate. That memory is very special to me.”

From all of us at the Alliance and the RMFL, congratulations to Annie Schroeder for her achievements.

What is the Alliance Fastpitch Player Recognition Program?

The Player Recognition Program was built to recognize and spotlight our individual players in each Member League. Each month, registered Alliance Fastpitch coaches can nominate a player from their age division. League Leadership will review nominations and a monthly stats report from AthletesGoLive (AGL) to determine the League’s Player of the Month.

Following the announcement of each League’s Players of the Month, the Alliance Fastpitch will recognize a National Player of the Month.

To be considered for Player of the Month, your team must score League games in AGL so your stats will be included in the League’s monthly report.
