The Rocky Mountain Fastpitch League (RMFL) is proud to name Natalia Puchino the RMFL’s Co-18U Fall Spotlight Athlete for 2021.

Puchino, who resides in Severence, CO, is a 2022 graduate heading to Texas A&M. This fall she recorded 29 innings of work, a 5-1 fall record, a 0.97 ERA, and 37 strikeouts. She is a member of Colorado Styxx 18 Gold.

Meet Natalia:

Q: Tell us a little bit about you and your softball story?
A: I got into softball because I grew up with it, my mom and sister both played. The drive, dedication and fun they had for softball made me want to get into it. Hearing all the stories and memories they shared made me want to play. I started playing when I could basically walk and haven’t looked back since. Being the youngest out of 5 didn’t really leave me much choice to not play a sport, which I was totally fine with. Growing up watching everyone play a sport they loved made it that much easier for me to go after what I want. I don’t think I have ever not played or had more than 3 days off since I was little. Being where I am today has made me so blessed with the lifestyle and family I grew up with because if they didn’t show me how to play then I wouldn’t be where I am today.

Q: What is your favorite softball memory?
A: My favorite softball memory would have to be playing in front of a bunch of college coaches in the sparkler. It was an amazing experience and one that I will be forever grateful for.
