MEET JAZMYN:
Q: Can you share a little bit about your softball story?
A: “I originally was a cheerleader from the age of 5, and up until I was 8. I still played t-ball when I was 5 but never had a thought to play softball. My older sister played softball and one day I just told my mom I don’t want to cheer anymore I want to be like her and play softball. So my mom started me with little league and shortly after that put me on my first club team. At the age of 12, I played for the USSSA all-American team in Florida, and played in Waco TX, for the little league world series regionals. I am a pitcher, shortstop, but I can play anywhere Coach needs me, I’ll even catch if he asked. I may not be the best but I’ll always go 110%”

Q: What is your favorite softball memory?
A: “My favorite softball memory would now have to be getting two really big awards, first the player of the month, and now the player spotlight. This only goes to show that all of my hard work, all of the long days, and all of the body aches are paying off and I couldn’t be more grateful. I also would not be able to have these opportunities without the amazing coaches and teammates I have, also my parents, they all push me to my fullest potential and I am so thankful for that. I will continue to work my hardest for them, always”

COACHES FEEDBACK:
“Jazzy has a monster softball IQ, very smart player. Her dedication is unmatched. She is a multi-sport athlete and just as exciting to watch her run the point on the hardwood. Her vision and execution are unmatched. That carries over to her calculated decisions at the plate and in the circle. She can play multiple positions and Jazmyn stays locked in! We are lucky to [have] such a dynamic player!” – Coach Jonathan Gandert
