The Alliance Fastpitch proudly announces Kate Brennan (2026) from the Southeast Fastpitch League (SEFL) as Player of the Month for her remarkable play in March 2024. Kate Brennan, a versatile player for EC Bullets Schnute/Bilz, excels in multiple positions—pitcher. Her March record was 3-0. Through 10.1 innings pitched, she had 26 strikeouts and a .891 ERA.

Kate Brennan’s softball journey began at the age of eight when she and a friend joined a recreational league, igniting a passion for the sport that would shape her future. As a pitcher, she thrived on the mound, finding joy in the camaraderie and thrill of competition. Despite facing challenges like injuries and transitions between teams, Kate’s love for softball remained steadfast.

One of Kate’s most cherished memories in softball was during a tournament in Florida. In a high-stakes championship game, she found herself on the mound with the bases loaded and two outs, clinging to a one-run lead. With nerves of steel, she delivered a perfect curveball to strike out the batter and secure the win, celebrating with her teammates over ice cream afterward.

Outside of softball, Kate finds joy in spending time with friends and embarking on road trips with her family. Balancing her athletic and academic pursuits, she aims to reach new milestones both on the field and in the classroom, striving for a 4.0 GPA while honing her pitching skills and pursuing personal interests like calligraphy and club involvement.

Described by her coach Jessica Bilz as a fierce competitor with a high softball IQ, Kate’s dedication to excellence extended beyond her performance on the field. With a 4.0 GPA and a compassionate demeanor, she exemplifies leadership and sportsmanship, earning the admiration of her teammates and coaches alike.

Kate’s coach fondly recalled a standout moment in her career—a game where she delivered a remarkable 10-strikeout performance, showcasing her talent and resilience in the face of adversity. Recognized as Player of the Month by the Alliance Fastpitch, Kate Brennan’s contributions to the sport and her commitment to personal growth were celebrated by the softball community.

What is the Alliance Fastpitch Player Recognition Program?

The Player Recognition Program was built to recognize and spotlight our individual players in each Member League. Each month, registered Alliance Fastpitch coaches can nominate a player from their age division. League Leadership will review nominations and a monthly stats report from AthletesGoLive (AGL) to determine the League’s Player of the Month.

Following the announcement of each League’s Players of the Month, the Alliance Fastpitch will recognize a National Player of the Month. To be considered for Player of the Month, your team must score League games in AGL so your stats will be included in the League’s monthly report.
