The Texas Fastpitch League (TFL) is excited to spotlight Alison. Coleman as the November Junior Player of the Month. Coleman is a pitcher and 1st baseman on BC Apparel.

Coleman had a great month at the dish. The 2028 posted an remarkable .538 batting average with a 1.417 OPS, .846 SLG with 5 singes and 3 RBIs.

Tell us a bit about your softball story! How’d you get started in the sport?

I started out playing baseball my first year in 6U. I then went to softball my second year of 6U and have been playing ever since. My favorite part of the game was hitting. I started asking my parents if I could learn to pitch and with their support and the help of some really awesome Coaches/Instructors, I discovered in 10U that I also loved to pitch.

What has been your favorite softball memory?

I have so many memories but I would have to say my favorite softball memory was when I hit my first over the fence home run in 8U. I also like hanging out with my teammates between games and just being silly

Who is your favorite softball player?

Rachel Garcia

What do you like to do outside of softball?

I am very active with softball. Some would call me a “softball junky” but outside of that I love art. I like to show my creativity through drawings and writing story lines.

What are some of your current goals – both on and off the field? (Softball, school, other athletics, related, etc. all welcomed!)

On the field I would like to get better at tricking the Batter’s eye by improving my spin. Off the field I would like to learn how to play the piano and also improve my drawings to look more realistic. Oh and of course make straight A’s in school.

What is the Alliance Fastpitch Player Recognition Program?

The Player Recognition Program was built to recognize and spotlight our individual players in each Member League. Each month, registered Alliance Fastpitch coaches can nominate a player from their age division. League Leadership will review nominations and a monthly stats report from AthletesGoLive (AGL) to determine the League’s Player of the Month.

Following the announcement of each League’s Players of the Month, the Alliance Fastpitch will recognize a National Player of the Month.

To be considered for Player of the Month, your team must score League games in AGL so your stats will be included in the League’s monthly report.
