The Alliance Fastpitch proudly announces Brooklyn Mangus (2029) from the Texas Fastpitch League (TFL) as Player of the Month for her remarkable play in March 2024. Brooklyn Mangus, a versatile player for Hotshots Premier Naudin 2029, excels in multiple positions—third base, catcher. Her March stats include a .400 batting average, a .455 OBP, 3 singles, 1 double, and 3 RBIs.

Brooklyn Mangus’s softball journey began with a passion ignited at the age of 6, leading her to fall in love with the game. Starting as a shortstop, Brooklyn’s adoration for hitting soon became evident. At 10, she found inspiration in her mentor Kennedy Crites, who motivated her to transition to the catcher position. Every time Brooklyn steps onto the field, she feels the exhilarating rush of competition, cherishing the camaraderie with her teammates and the friendships forged along the way.

A cherished softball memory for Brooklyn Mangus is the resilience displayed by her team during a tournament. Despite losing their first bracket game, they rallied together, winning 8 consecutive games, including the championship, with Brooklyn catching all 8 games. Their unwavering determination and unity fueled their success, leaving a lasting imprint on Brooklyn’s heart.

Brooklyn’s favorite player is Kennedy Crites, whose influence extends beyond the field. Outside of softball, Brooklyn finds joy in basketball and track, further diversifying her athletic pursuits.

Currently, Brooklyn Mangus’s goals include hitting her first out-of-the-park home run, achieving recognition on the caught stealing leaderboard, and earning a spot on the Texas Tech college softball team. Additionally, she is striving to gain entry into the National Junior Honors Society, showcasing her dedication to both academic and athletic excellence. The Alliance Fastpitch commends Brooklyn on her well-deserved recognition as Player of the Month, recognizing her remarkable contributions to the sport and her relentless pursuit of personal and athletic growth.

What is the Alliance Fastpitch Player Recognition Program?

The Player Recognition Program was built to recognize and spotlight our individual players in each Member League. Each month, registered Alliance Fastpitch coaches can nominate a player from their age division. League Leadership will review nominations and a monthly stats report from AthletesGoLive (AGL) to determine the League’s Player of the Month.

Following the announcement of each League’s Players of the Month, the Alliance Fastpitch will recognize a National Player of the Month. To be considered for Player of the Month, your team must score League games in AGL so your stats will be included in the League’s monthly report.
