The right-handed pitcher had a win/loss record of 11-3 this fall. Ogden wasn’t just successful this fall in the circle, but also at the plate. She posted an impressive .500 batting average, .676 slugging percentage and racked up 29 RBIs.

Softball Story (How did you get started?) – Tell us about you:
“I’ve always had a passion for sports and it seems I’ve been playing a sport since I could first walk,” Ogden said. “I started playing softball when I was around 5 years old and I’ve had softball fever ever since. I attend South Warren Middle School in Bowling Green, Ky where I just finished up basketball and I am getting ready to start my High School softball season. I love hanging out with my friends and family when I’m not practicing or playing any games.”

Favorite Softball memory:
“God has certainly blessed me throughout my softball playing career. I’ve had the opportunity to play in some really big games and they all have a special place in my heart. One moment that stands out more than the others has to be playing in my high school’s regional tournament at WKU. That moment was really awesome for me because I was just in the seventh grade playing for my high school team in the region finals. I know I have a lot more to see and accomplish as a softball player, I am just certainly blessed to have the support from two great parents, a great brother, extended family and friends.”

Coaches feedback:
“Layla is a very talented young lady with a great work ethic to match,” said head coach Jim Huecker.
