MOST MEMORABLE SOFTBALL MOMENT?
Playing in a summer 12u tournament where we had to fight our way out of the loser’s bracket and win 5 games in a row for the gold championship. We were dirty, tired, but we gave it our all together as a team to win!
MY STORY
My FC Select teammate, Lily Hauser, and I are both committed to the University of Arizona. Our mother’s, while pregnant with us, coached together at the University of Redlands. They gave birth during their season (2008) and months later we traveled to NCAA DIII regional playoffs in Texas as infants together. We’ve really come full circle!
WHAT DO YOU WANT YOUR LEGACY TO BE IN SOFTBALL?
I’d want to be remembered for being a great teammate that worked hard and gave the Wildcat fans something exciting to show up to the stadium and root for. I’d also like to inspire the next generation of girls to fall in love with the game.
FUN FAMILY FACTS
Mom played for UCLA (1995-1999). Was a player on the 1995 National Championship team. As an undergraduate assistant coach, she won a national championship with UCLA in 1999.
Grandfather, Larry Mays, was an 18U youth head coach for the Gordon’s Panthers with multiple national championships. Coached some of the best players in the game, including Lisa Fernandez and Stacey Nuveman. Was inducted into the USA Hall of Fame.
WHAT COLLEGE ARE YOU COMMITTED/SIGNED TO?
University of Arizona
WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THAT COLLEGE?
I chose the University of Arizona for its softball legacy, highly ranked business school, and elite coaching staff led by Coach Lowe to continue to develop my offensive game with Coach Freeman.
FAVORITE HOBBY/HOBBIES WHEN NOT PLAYING SOFTBALL?
I love cooking. My dad and grandma are great cooks and I’ve learned a lot from them. I love preparing, plating, and serving delicious meals for my friends and family.
IF YOU COULD HAVE ANY NIL DEAL, WHAT COMPANY (OR COMPANIES) WOULD YOU WANT TO SPONSOR YOU?
Nike, Monster, Canes
WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE SOFTBALL PLAYER?
Taylor Biehl, Arizona SS. On top of being an amazing athlete, she’s an incredibly kind human with a strong work ethic. She was a valedictorian at Arizona.
IS THERE AN ATHLETE YOU TRY TO MODEL YOUR GAME AFTER?
N/A
