Megan Sumner, a dedicated catcher and third baseman for the Indiana Magic Gold 18U Green, competes in the Super division of the Heart of America Fastpitch League. Graduating in 2026, Megan has made a strong commitment to further her athletic career at Marshall University, showcasing her determination and talent on the field.
With a right-handed bat and a powerful throwing arm, Megan brings a competitive edge to every game. Her defensive instincts and range behind the plate make her a formidable presence, while her versatility allows her to excel at both catcher and third base. Offensively, she demonstrates advanced plate discipline and situational awareness, consistently finding ways to contribute to her team's success.
Megan's accolades speak to her skill level; she was honored with the Super Cup All Tournament award in April 2025 for her outstanding performance at the tournament. Additionally, she earned the Stars of Tomorrow Point Leader title in 2024, recognizing her as the top scorer in her grad year. As she continues to develop in the travel softball environment, her passion and hard work fuel her drive to succeed at the collegiate level.
